It’s hard to argue against Jim Langer as one of the best to ever play the center position. It’s even harder to argue against him as being the greatest athlete to ever wear No. 62.
He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in 1970 where he spent the first nine years of his career. He was part of the ’72 Dolphins which went undefeated and won Super Bowl VII. He was a six-time Pro Bowler, a four-time All-Pro, and a three-time AFC champion. He was also named to the 1970s All-Decade Team.
He spen his final NFL days with the Minnesota Vikings in 1980-1981. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1987.
