I’m no Boston Celtics fan nor do I live in Boston but before hearing the comments from Boston Mayor Tom Menino, I thought I at least knew the names of some of the Boston Celtic players, but apparently not.
“There’s a lot of heart in this team, let me just tell you,” Menino said, according to ESPNBoston.com. “KJ is great but Hondo is really the inspiration. Hondo drives that team.”
That quote told me several things. Not only have I been wrong all these years on how to pronounce the names of the Celtics point guard and power forward but I also learned how wise the mayor is by knowing that Hondo leads his team.
For whatever reason, there was still doubt in my mind towards Governor Tim Marino, so I double checked the facts.
Low and behold, politicians know what they’re talking about, especially when it comes to sports. Who am I to question Todd Nemino? I’m just some guy in Texas, and he’s the freaking mayor or whatever. If a picture is worth a thousand words, the picture below has to at least triple that, all of which are against me.
Here’s to you Mr. Medino, it’s time to sit back and watch your Bastan Seltix.
